Karen Crittenden

Karen Crittenden has been an artist/photographer her entire life. She has a degree in Fine Arts having achieved this later in her life. She became enamored of mandala art after having seen spirals on ancient burial mounds in Ireland and the mandala work Tibetan Monks make and then ‘brush’ away. She has been drawing mandala art for over 20 years and has won awards in local art shows for her art work and photography.

Karen has worked in many mediums including paper, paint, found items and photography. Her art work has won awards in local art shows and in recent time she did have a solo show of her art works. She enjoys sharing her understanding of mediums through workshops, group and individual lessons.

Beginner’s Look at Book Binding Part 1  In the workshop we will learn a simple but very effective book binding method called pamphlet stitch.  You will be able to use this to bind all sorts of  materials. Adults Only  Sankofa

Beginner’s Look at Book Binding Part 2  Ever wondered if it was possible to bind a book of single sheets?  In this workshops we will learn the Lark’s head bind.  It is prefect for lots of single sheet books nd booklets. Please bring scissors if you have them.  Adults Only Sankofa
