Kristen Palmeri is a Western New York artist, social worker, Master Gardener, and workshop facilitator. Kristen has facilitated craft workshops with Western New York Creative People, the Buffalo Infringement Festival, and Buffalo’s Maker Faire. Previous workshops facilitated include Fairy Garden and Terrarium Gardens, Soap Making, Candle Making, wand making, Resin and Thermoplastics, general crafts, fabric dying, and Kumihimo.
Kumihimo Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese art of cord making. Participants will learn how to make a simple key chain to keep. All materials will be included. Those who wish, will have the opportunity to purchase kits and materials to take home. All Welcome. Sankofa: Friday, July 14
Indigo Dying Indigo Dying Indigo dying is a natural dying technique using special plant materials. Workshop participants can explore the medium, are able to dye their own garments, and/or there will be material/clothing available for exploration. All Welcome. Sankofa: Saturday, July 15
Jewelry Making with Gemstones. Jewelry Making with Gemstones. Participants will be able to make gemstone bead bracelet to take home. The workshop will explore both semi-precious gemstones and jewelry making. Individuals will be able to show off their designs during festival. All Welcome. Sirius Rising: Tuesday, July 18
