Building a Community of Support Within a World of Division  When the world is in a period of transition and stress it is not uncommon for fear to cause individuals to revert to divisive ego-centric patterns and potentially behavior that moves us from our spiritual path. The current planetary cycle is no different and needs guides/light workers who are able to lead all of the star-seed race through this period into a time of community. This workshop will focus on interpersonal and communication skills that are desperately needed but not taught in our present society. All Welcome.   Sankofa:  Friday, July 14

Dancing with Archetypes and Mandalas  Participants will explore various Jungian archetypes through movement and creation of a personal mandala. The workshop will start with an experiential mindfulness practice known as dancing mindfulness. Participants will be asked to deepen their understanding of Jungian concepts through working with their mandala. We will explore how these archetypes reflect back to the idealized and whole self as conceptualized by Jung. It is hoped through this increased understanding that participants will find better balance in their life.  All WelcomeSankofa:  Saturday, July 15

Who are you really? A re-evaluation of the scriptures of major world religions through the lens of psychological and neuroscientific theories of consciousness.  Traditionally scientists and spiritual seekers viewed their spheres of thought as separate and incompatible. Each side believing their explanation of human existence; but who are we really? Scientists view our thoughts, behaviors, feelings, and even that which call spirit in terms of underlying matter. In this workshop we will discuss how the world’s spiritual practices have already understood these “new discoveries” in science for centuries. With special attention to theories of consciousness from psychology, neuroscience, and the world’s major religions. Novice philosophers welcome! Sirius Rising,  Tuesday, July 18

Unconditional Love: How to give, receive, and practice: Techniques from psychology.  Unconditional love, a core component in psychology, the helping professions, and spiritual practices alike; is viewed as an aspirational goal in psychology and in spiritual practices as the pinnacle of spiritual practice (i.e-enlightenment). In this workshop we will learn techniques to put unconditional love into our lives immediately to demonstrate that it is not the attainment of unconditional love but the immediate process of experiencing it that leads to spiritual health and growth.  Sirius Rising:  Thursday, July 20

Not of this World but in It: Taking care of your spiritual, mental, and physical health during your astral travels. Often in our excitement to explore our spiritual nature and engage ourselves fully in festival activities we forget about engaging in the common sense and practical habits that maintain our body, mind, and spirit. This workshop will help participants establish individual and peer-supported habits to keep them and their friends healthy and well while still engaging in all the opportunities festivals have to offer. We’ll also discuss creating a festival community of support for all.  All Welcome.  Sirius Rising:  Saturday, July 22
