Ken Labuskes has been creating visual art for decades. He graduated with his BA in fine arts from Penn State University and went on to work for 30 years at Pittsburgh Public Schools. His work is often mysterious but also whimsical. His bright and colorful artwork explores shape, color and symbol within a recognizable figurative environment. His themes include mythology, the natural environment, and animals.
Thursday, July 18 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. The Studio
Art Show and Reception – Welcome Ken as he shows a few of his paintings from this year’s body of work. Let’s kick off Sankofa with art and some light refreshments (BYOB).
