Sirius Rising 30 Highlights & Schedule

Welcome to Sirius Rising, Celebrating 30 Years of Enchantment  

Each day we celebrate the Elements and Spirit.  Many like to wear colors representing the the element of the day or Spirit.  Mondays is Air (yellow), Tuesday is Fire (Red), Wednesday is Water (Blue), Thursday is Earth (Green), and Friday is Spirit (White and Purple).  All colors and types of costumes for Saturday’s bonfire celebration.

The Performances will at the Main Pavilion before the nightly Roundhouse Fires. This will give you an opportunity to see the performers and enjoy the fire lighting. Your presence supports the performing artists and helps build a sense of community. Bring a comfortable chair, blanket and beverage.

Messages – During each elemental ritual, a small wooden disc will be available.  Hold it in your hand as you participate in the ritual and at the end place in the treasure box.  As you hold the disc, let yourself feel the elements attributes energize you and charge the disc with you intention for the future.   The wooden disc represents your message to the stars that will be send on Saturday night in the Sacred Celebration Fire.

Kids Programming There lots of new and exciting kids programming this year.  Please enjoy the experience but stay with your youths during workshops. There is no babysitting service or drop offs at Kids Village.

 Ancestor RitualJoin us for an Ancestor Ritual, Friday, July 26 at 8:00 p.m. at the Ancestor Area.  We will be honoring the ancestors and speaking the name of those who have passed over the last three years.  Walk the Labyrinth afterwards.

The Labyrinth is now 20 years old!  There will be special silent lighting by the Arches crew at 8:30 p.m. on Friday as we honor this community achievement.  The Mickeys will play there unplugged after the lighting ceremony.

The Saturday Celebration – Starts with a concert at the Main Pavilion with Phat Man Dee and special guest.  After the 8:30 concert, a traditional procession will take us to the Bonfire Field (bagpipes and drums). Feel free to dress up in elemental colors or whatever expresses yourself.  Send your Messages as we celebrate 30 years under the stars as we focus on sustaining ourselves and our environment for a better future.

Shrines and Sacred Spaces – There are many areas at Brushwood that have been created and are being developed with specific intent. The Nemeton and Runestead are lovely sites that have been long established and you should make a point to visit them during your stay. Efforts led by members of the Shrine Stewards are also underway to refurbish further develop elemental shrines (Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit) as well as the Ancestor Area. This shrine development is an ongoing process and others are welcomed and encouraged to join us in the future.
