Kristen Palmeri is a WNY artist, social worker, master gardener and workshop facilitator. Kristen has facilitated craft workshops with the WNY Creative People, The Buffalo Infringement Festival and The WNY Regional Maker Faire. Previous workshops include wand making, fairy gardens, terrariums, resin and thermoplastics, fabric dying, soap and candle making, Kumihimo and others.
Jewelry Making with Gemstones. Jewelry Making with Gemstones. Participants will be able to make gemstone bead bracelet to take home. Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese art of cord making. Participants will learn how to make a simple key chain to keep. All materials will be included. Journal Making Participants will be supplied with a blank notebook and given the opportunity to personalize it with stamps, stickers, scrapbook materials, ribbon, embellishments, Washi tape, glue, glitter etc. (Suggested donation $3) All Welcome Sirius Rising, Monday, July 22
Make a Magic Wand! Participants will embellish a wooden chopstick with feathers, beads, ribbons etc. to make a personalized fairy wand. This can be used to spread love and joy throughout the camp. Weaving with Looms We will discuss the history of weaving. Everyone will be provided with a small wooden loom and materials to try it out (yarn, ribbon and various fibers, beads, etc) Those who wish, can purchase a kit to take home for $4. All Welcome Sirius Rising, Friday, July 26
