Primal Sound and Somatic Release (Part 1). Participants will focus on vocalizing emotions to stimulate the vagus nerve and facilitate emotional release. Participants begin by grounding themselves with deep, intentional breaths. Guided by me, they’ll explore making primal sounds (e.g., sighs, growls, hums, or screams) to express emotions like anger, sadness, or joy. These sounds create vibrations that activate the vagus nerve, promoting relaxation and emotional catharsis. Participants are encouraged to use their whole body, moving freely as they vocalize, releasing stored tension and release emotional blockages. Teen Friendly (12-17). Sirius Rising: 3:00-4:30 p.m. MON, July 21 East Shire
Connecting with Loved Ones (Part 2). Participants process grief and find emotional release by communicating with those who have passed. The session begins with grounding exercises like deep breathing and relaxation. Participants are then guided through a visualization to imagine a peaceful space where they can meet their loved ones. Through gentle prompts, they express unsaid words, share feelings, or simply feel their loved one’s presence, fostering closure and emotional healing. The meditation emphasizes receiving love, forgiveness, or reassurance, helping to alleviate guilt, regret, or longing and ends with reflection. Teen Friendly (12-17). Sirius Rising: 3:00-4:30 p.m. WED, July 23 East Shire
Somatic Breathwork for Relaxation (Part 3). Participants will be sitting comfortably, closing their eyes, and taking slow, deep breaths. They are guided into breathwork, activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Then we will practice humming (like saying “om” or humming a tune) for 5-10 minutes, as the vibrations stimulate the vagus nerve. To deepen the experience, we will then pair this with gentle neck stretches or self-massage along the sides of the neck, where the vagus nerve runs. The session ends with a grounding exercise. Teen Friendly (12-17). Sirius Rising: 3:00-4:30 p.m. FRI, July 25 East Shire
